Deenz Agoraphobia Scale (DAS-15)
Agoraphobia Test is the computerized version of the Deenz Agoraphobia Scale (DAS-15). This agoraphobia quiz is based on a valid and reliable instrument, Deenz Agoraphobia Scale (DAS-15). Agoraphobia is a type of anxiety in which a person feels fear of situations or places where they feel escape may be difficult or help may not be available. People with agoraphobia feel safe at home and are unwilling to leave places where they feel safe and secure. Over the years the understanding and assessing the impact of agoraphobia has evolved. Researchers have developed assessment tools that help understand the symptoms and guide tracking the triggers. Deenz Agoraphobia Scale was developed to measure the impact, track specific triggers, and identify the tendencies to agoraphobia. The scale is based on 15 statements related to experiences and behaviors. Mental health professionals often use agoraphobia assessment scales to assess symptoms and measure their impact on overall well-being. There are several assessment scales such as the Agoraphobia Scale (AS) and the Mobility Inventory for Agoraphobia (MIA). The purpose of these scales is to identify triggers and measure the impact of symptoms. The understanding, classification, and measurement of agoraphobia symptoms continue to evolve, highlighting the need for effective assessment tools.
The assessment consists of 15 statements and typically takes 2–4 minutes to complete. Participants respond to statements describing behaviors, preferences, safety strategies, and reactions associated with agoraphobia-related tendencies. For each statement, select the response that best reflects your level of agreement.
This assessment is intended for adults and older adolescents interested in understanding agoraphobia-related tendencies, avoidance patterns, and environmental anxiety. Participation in this online assessment is completely anonymous. No personally identifying information is collected or stored.
The scoring of this self-test is very simple, there are 15 items scored on a five-point response scale. Item responses are calculated to produce a raw total score ranging from 0 to 60, with higher scores indicating greater levels of agoraphobia-related traits. Results include an Overall Index Score and scores for three dimensions: Avoidance, Safety Behaviors, and Environmental Discomfort. Dimension scores are standardized to a 0–100 scale and interpreted using qualitative categories. Overall results are classified into five interpretive ranges: • Minimal (0–20) • Mild (21–40) • Moderate (41–60) • High (61–80) • Very High (81–100)
