Escala de tendencia suicida Deenz (DSTS-25)
Suicidal Test is the interactive version of the Deenz Suicidal Tendency Scale (DSTS-25). The self-test helps measure five core dimensions of suicidal tendencies: Hopelessness, Helplessness, Worthlessness, Burden Perception, and Desire to Escape Pain. Over the years, our understanding of suicidal tendencies has evolved. Modern psychology emphasizes studying suicidal traits by assessing multidimensional factors. Psychologists believe that suicidal thoughts often arise in response to emotional pain and a strong sense of hopelessness. It is not necessary that individuals with suicidal thoughts only manifest clinical signs of depression. Some people try to hide their emotional struggles. Suicidal tendencies can result from various factors, including social, economic, interpersonal, and psychological issues. The main purpose of the Deenz Suicidal Tendency Scale (DSTS-25) is to measure suicidal tendencies and identify emotional risk factors associated with suicidal behaviours. In our interactive research tool, the scale demonstrated accuracy in measuring the severity and risk factors associated with intense emotional experiences and behaviors.
The assessment consists of 25 statements and typically takes 3–5 minutes to complete. Participants respond to statements describing thoughts, beliefs, emotional experiences, self-perceptions, and reactions associated with suicidal tendencies and emotional distress. For each statement, select the response that best reflects your level of agreement.
This assessment is intended for adults and older adolescents interested in understanding emotional distress and suicidal risk factors. Participation in this online assessment is completely anonymous. No personally identifying information is collected or stored.
The scoring of this self-test is very simple. There are 25 items scored on a five-point response scale. Item responses are calculated to produce a raw total score ranging from 0 to 100, with higher scores indicating greater levels of suicidal tendency-related traits and emotional risk factors. Results include an Overall Index Score and scores for five dimensions: • Hopelessness • Helplessness • Worthlessness • Burden Perception • Desire to Escape Pain Las puntuaciones de las dimensiones se estandarizan en una escala de 0 a 100 y se interpretan mediante categorías cualitativas. Los resultados globales se clasifican en cinco rangos interpretativos: - Mínimo (0-20) - Leve (21-40) - Moderado (41-60) - Alta (61-80) - Muy alto (81-100)
I feel that my future holds nothing to look forward to.
I believe things will never get better for me.
I see no path that could lead to happiness.
I feel trapped in a life that cannot change.
I have stopped making plans because I don’t see the point.
I feel powerless to change how my life is going.
No matter what I do, things seem to stay the same.
I feel I lack the strength to cope with my problems.
I believe nothing I try will help.
I often feel at the mercy of circumstances beyond my control.
I feel that I am a failure as a person.
I think others would be better off without me.
I feel like my life has no real purpose.
I can’t find anything good about myself.
I often think that my existence doesn’t matter.
I believe I cause more trouble than I am worth.
I feel guilty for the stress I cause others.
I think my loved ones would be happier if I were gone.
I feel like I am dragging others down.
I often think that my presence makes things worse for people around me.
I sometimes wish I could simply stop existing.
I think about death as a way to end my pain.
I have wished I could go to sleep and never wake up.
I imagine what it would be like if I were dead.
I have thought about ways to end my life.
